After months, OK maybe years, of thinking about this, I’m finally doing it. It seems strange to me that after 12 years of shooting weddings and portraits professionally, I’m back to a portfolio building stage. But, as I once heard, and still believe, you should show what you want to shoot. I shot this session shown above last year and have always wanted to continue with a series involving motorcycles. I just wasn’t sure how to proceed, or what to call it. I’m still not sure how to market it alongside my landscape photography, but I’ll worry about that when I have more to show.
I’ll continue to post nature and landscape photos here as well, of course. That’s something I believe I’ll always enjoy, and to be honest, I feel is much easier than coordinating photo shoots. As you probably already know, most of those photos are taken before or after work, or on my way somewhere else. I rarely get the opportunity to take a dedicated trip or vacation exclusively for photos.
